A father’s wish on your birthday

It is your birthday my dear Precious Tendo Babirye. My wish is that you blow a thousand more candles. As you grow and celebrate each year, all I have are my best wishes. My dear Precious, when I am old and weak, my wish is that you be patient and try to understand me. Whenever I speak to you and repeat the same things over and over again, simply listen. When you were smaller, I would read to you the same story a thousand and one times and you went into sweet sleep.
