Gospel band, Alarm Ministries, are organising a live concert, the first since March 2020, when concerts were suspended to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Dubbed “Twongeye Twataramye,” to take place on December 20 in Kigali Arena, the highly anticipated concert comes at a time when Rwandans are gearing up for the festive season. Speaking to The New Times, Charles Mazeze, the president of Alarm ministries, said that the concert will be the one of its kind. “It will be special, It’s been a long time without praising God together as believers, and we are sure this is going to be heart touching, because all performers will be excited to entertain revelers on that day”, he told The New Times. The renowned gospel band will be looking into sharing the stage with some of the top gospel musicians like Healing Worship Team, Gospel duo Dorcas and Vestine, and artiste Prosper Nkomezi. The concert will also feature a sermon by Julienne Kabanda. The show, organisers say, will take place in line with the COVID-19 precautions and the venue will only be allowed to host less than 1500 people. Alarm Ministries was created as a worship band in 1999, but as of now, the group has about 11 albums and over 400 songs to their name, some of which are not included in the albums. Gates for the show will open at 2 pm. Entrance fee for regular will be Rwf5, 000 and Rwf10, 000 for VIP while VVIP will go for Rwf20, 000 with a drink and food.
