Munyaneza, Bobo Bola snub call-ups World/Africa Cup QualifiersGroup CMar 28 Rwanda v AlgeriaMar 29Egypt v Zambia Three more professionals, Hamad Ndikumana, Jimmy Mulisa and Boubakar Saddou have reported to Amavubi Stars training camp. The trio joined the team’s camp yesterday ahead of the scheduled 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifier against Algeria this Saturday in Kigali. Ndikumana (AC Omonio) and Mulisa (Beveren) arrived yesterday at 13.45 aboard Ethiopian Airlines while Saddou (Al-Ahly Tripoli) landed in the country at 1800 aboard Rwandair. They join skipper Olivier Karekezi (Ham Kam) who responded to Amavubi call on Saturday from Norway and Saidi Abedi who has spent nearly a week in camp. However, Henry Munyaneza (Germinal Beerschot) and Bobo Bola (Sweden) have snubbed the call-ups. Ferwafa Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport yesterday that they have not got any responses from the pair despite informing them a month ago. “We invited them just like we did with the other professional players through their clubs but those two have not responded (yet),” Kalisa said. However, speculations have confirmed that Munyaneza requested for additional pledges before embarking on the plane to feature for Amavubi in this campaign. Already, Atraco defender Aloua Gaseruka and Rayon Sport midfielder Jamal Mwiseneza have pulled out of the team with bouts of malaria. Rwanda is drawn alongside Algeria, Egypt and Zambia in Group C of the 2010 World Cup qualifiers. Having failed to qualify for the last two Nations Cup finals, Rwanda must finish inside the top three to qualify for Angola 2010 CAN finals. While the first three places of each group will qualify to the 2010 African Cup of Nations in Angola, winners of each group will directly qualify to the same year’s World Cup in South Africa. Ends
