Seventy-two people tested positive for Covid-19 in Rwanda on Thursday, November 26, majority of whom were from prisons and refugee camps. According to the Ministry of Health, of the new infections, 30 were identified in Rwamagana Prison, whereas Kigeme Camp in Nyamagabe district confirmed 19 Covid-19 cases. Meanwhile, Kigali and Musanze district reported six and nine new Covid-19 cases respectively. On the other hand, Nyanza, Gicumbi, Bugesera and Rubavu districts confirmed two positive cases each. So far, in total, Rwanda has confirmed 5,851 Covid-19 cases. Of these, 5,345 have already recovered. The results were obtained from 2,991 sample tests collected in the last 24 hours. Overall, the country has conducted 617,258 sample tests. The countrys Covid-19 death toll currently stands at 47.
