Rwanda’s national women’s Sitting Volleyball team commenced their training camp on Monday, July 1, as they embark on preparation for the highly-anticipated Paralympic Games which will take place in Paris, France, from August 28 to September 8. The team is currently camping at Classic Hotel, Kicukiro, and is training on a daily basis at Notre Dames des Anges, Remera. It’s from the camp that Mosaad will name his final squad before departing Rwanda on August 13 for Courbevoie where they spend an extra two weeks of training before moving into the Paralympic Village in Paris. Rwanda is placed in Group B alongside Brazil, Slovenia, and Canada. The team’s opening match will be against Brazil on August 29. This will mark Rwanda’s third appearance in the Paralympic Games, having previously competed in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. The Rwandan team is currently ranked fifth in the World ParaVolley rankings, behind Canada, Brazil, the United States and China.
