A total of 162 people recovered from Covid-19 in Rwanda on Wednesday, October 7, the same day 10 people tested positive of the pandemic. According to the Ministry of Health, of the new cases, seven of the new cases were detected in Kigali, two in Gatsibo District and one in Nyagatare District. The latest results were obtained from 3, 219 tests conducted over the last 24 hours, the ministry said. In total, Rwanda has so far carried out 511,183 tests of Covid-19. Since September 24, Rwanda has been recording less than 15 daily infections, and many recoveries at the same time. This is a milestone compared to the month of August and the beginning of September when the country often reported an upward of 100 new Covid-19 cases daily. Since the outbreak of the pandemic in Rwanda in mid-March, the country has confirmed a total of 4,883 Covid-19 cases of whom 3,408 have already recovered. The country’s Covid-19 death toll is at 29 people.
