Editor, It was reported in The New Times of March 12, that the Foreign Affairs Minister Rosemary Museminali, will be travelling to Kinshasa at the end of March. The purpose of this trip (consolidating bilateral ties) is a welcome gesture on the part of the two countries. I wish to commend the leaders of the two countries for having the foresight and dedication to bringing about peace and normalcy in the region. The move to restore full diplomatic relations is yet another welcome development in this process. The full restoration of diplomatic relations will enable the citizens of the two countries to conduct business on peaceful grounds. It is also important to highlight the fact that it is only through continued cooperation that the problem of the rag tag FDLR rebel militia will be resolved forever. Rusumo
