APR FC have finished talks with Ghana Premier League champions Samartex FC over transfer of star midfielder Seidu Dauda Yussif, with the Ghanaian expected to travel to Kigali for a medical. The Rwandan champions’ scouts have been in Ghana for two weeks purposely to watch Samartex skipper Emmanuel Keyekeh but they ended up spotting his midfield partner Seidu. Seidu, who can also play in the holding midfield role, played 28 games for Samartex in the 2023/24 season, scoring three goals and providing five assists as the Timber company-owned club won the GPL on their only second season since their promotion to in 2022. Times Sport can confirm that Seidu will travel to Kigali with a Samartex official in the coming weekend where the former will a medical before signing a two-year deal with the army side. Seidu, 23, was one of the standout midfielders during the Ghana Premier League in the 2023/24 season and APR FC believe his expertise can help the club in their quest to achieve the CAF Champions League group stages. Elsewhere, Musanze FC are in need of a striker and, according to reports, Moro Sumaila and Sadick Sulley are among the players on their radar. Also, Senegalese central defender Aliou Souane is in Kigali as a deal to sign for APR FC beckons. The Senegalese U23 defender has previously played for Sacre Coeur FC and Academy Darussalam. Rayon Sports are also closing in on former APR skipper Prince Buregeya while midfielder Raphael Olise Osaluwe is also in talks over a possible return to the club.
