Rwanda Premier League champions APR have loaned youngster Fiacre Ntwari to Marines for the upcoming 2020/21 season. The 21-year old goalkeeper has been at APR since July 2018 when he was promoted from the club’s youth team – Intare FC. Speaking to Times Sport in a telephone interview on Monday, APR Secretary General, Lt. Col. Sylvestre Sekaramba, said the decision to loan their youngest goalkeeper is aimed at assisting him to earn enough playing time so he can step up his level. “We loaned Ntwari to Marines to help him improve his level,” he said, noting that “We expect that he can find more playing time there.” Sekaramba expressed optimism about Ntwari’s potential future role at APR, reckoning that after the loan, he will return and assist the club “because he has potential and is still young.” Ntwari was part of the APR squad that won the 2019/20 league title unbeaten as well as the 2020 Ubutwari Cup and the 2018 Agaciro Development Cup. He started his football career with APR academy in 2015.
