The club has also agreed personal terms with the player who looks set to put pen to paper when he returns from his vacation from his home country Burundi. From the very beginning, we wanted Rwf 20 million paid in full, not installments. We held final discussions this past weekend and we reached an agreement to finalise the deal on our terms, the source said in an interview on Monday, June 24. We understand that they have agreed to personal terms with the player. All we are waiting for is the player to return [from Burundi] so the club can pay the agreed price to sign him.” Rukundo, who joined Amagaju before the beginning of the 2023/24 season, was among standout performers during the Primus National League. Despite being a midfielder, he finished third on the league top scoring charts with 13 goals, just two goals shy of joint top scorers Victor Mbaoma of APR FC and Ani Elijah of Bugesera FC.
