The Rwanda Karate Federation (FERWAKA) will, on Saturday, October 15, kick off a two-day karate training camp that will, among others, help select players for the national team. The training camp at Notre Dame des Anges Primary School, in Kigali, will include female and male players in three age categories, according to the federation. The first category will include senior players above 18 years of age, the second category is for juniors, 16 to 17 years of age, while the third is the cadets, youngsters aged between 14 and 15 years. The trainers will focus on modern competitive karate techniques in accordance with new rules of the World Karate Federation (WKF), and also aim to form national karate teams that will represent the country in various international competitions.
