Editor, I recently watched on my screen Nigerian gay rights activists, telling the country’s lawmakers that a new bill to outlaw same sex marriage would lead to widespread human rights abuses, with great dismay. I also saw pixctures of Children wearing T-shirts that said, “Same sex marriage is un-natural and un-African”, and “same sex marriage is an abomination”. I immediately asked myself who should be the right winner. The latter of course took over my mind. The practice is not only unacceptable, but also an abomination in African culture. African politicians should not therefore, succumb to the pressure of the so-called human rights activists. They simply cannot take us for a ride, in the most demeaning manner. Kimironko
