Just a year after Nelson Byusa Rwangabo, aka Nel Ngabo (pictured), started his music career, a debut album is knocking on the door. The 22-year-old rising star has already won hearts of many because of his fine fusion of lyrics and vocals. Things could even get better for him because he has seven new singles on the album that are “a little different from the others, but they all talk about love. “It’s a big achievement for me as someone who came into this music industry a year ago. I have always wanted to have my album as any other artiste, it’s a big step,” he tells this publication. Dubbed, ‘Ingabo’, his 13-track album is dedicated to the Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA) fighters, who liberated the country 26 years ago, on July 4, the same day he will launch the album virtually. “The idea came from thanking and appreciating soldiers who liberated our country, especially my father. He is one of the many soldiers who were in the struggle of liberating our country,” he explained. He added that his father always believed in his talent, despite some people in family, doubting that no one could have a career in music. “He encouraged me, supported me and understood my dreams.” He promises his fans that they will fall in love with the album, and that he appreciates their love and continued support. The “Nzahinduka” singer is signed under Kina Music, and his music include, ‘Byakoroha’, ‘Nzahinduka’, ‘Why’, ‘Gake’ featuring Igor Mabano, and ‘Ya Motema’, with Platini Nemeye.
