Nokanda application on Monday, June 2 became the first Rwandan mobile application to receive #1 ranking on Google Play Store. The mobile application aims at easing and shortening cashless transactions processes. With Nokanda, users can send money, pay bills and access MTN and Airtel mobile money services without dialing or following prompts. It creates shortcuts for USSD codes, which makes it quicker to send money to your phone contacts without typing numbers, buy and pay for services easily and quickly. Usually, mobile money transactions involve dialing USSD codes and following prompts that can sometimes be long processes. Apart from mobile money services, the application offers other useful codes and numbers such as emergency and police free tolls, health and hospital emergency numbers, to mention but a few. Nokanda was built by Hexakomb Limited, a software development company in 2019. At first, it was designed only for the company’s staff to ease internal mobile money transactions until it was uploaded on Google store for the public upon users requests. The application has been receiving good reviews on social media for how user friendly and efficient it is. Download this great app called Nokanda.
