A Cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame on Friday, June 14, appointed new officials for various agencies, including the Rwanda Mining, Petroleum and Gas Board (RMB) and the City of Kigali, according to a statement from the Prime Minister's Office. The Cabinet appointed Alice Uwase as Deputy Chief Executive Office at RMB. Uwase will deputise Francis Kamanzi, who was appointed as CEO in February. Emma Claudine Ntirenganya was appointed Director General in Charge of Communication and Education in the City of Kigali. Prior to her new appointment, Ntirenganya was a communications analyst in the Office of the Government Spokesperson. Also in the City of Kigali, Jean de Dieu Musoni was appointed Director General in charge of Corporate Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, while Olivier Rwangabwoba was appointed the Director General in Charge of Social Development and Good Governance. Gerard Abiyingoma was appointed the city's Director General in Charge of Corporate Services. Bernard Bayasese was appointed Gasabo District Executive Administrator, while Alexis Ingangare was appointed Nyarugenge District Executive Administrator. Ingangare will be deputised by Geneviève Uwamahoro. At Rwanda Agriculture Board (RAB), Stephen Rwamulangwa, a former mayor of Gasabo District, was appointed the Coordinator of the Single Project Implementation Unit (SPIU). Rwamulangwa, who was acquitted of fraud in late May in the case known as Kwa Dubai, has been reinstated in the same position he held before his arrest in April 2023 along with businessman Jean 'Dubai' Nsabimana and other former Gasabo District officials. At the National Rehabilitation Services (NRS), Dr. Jean Damascène Nshimiyimana was appointed Coordinator of IWAWA Rehabilitation Center while Jean Damascène Habyarimana was appointed the Coordinator of Nyamagabe Rehabilitation Center. At the Institute of Legal Practice and Development (ILPD), Richard Mugisha was approved the Academic Registrar.
