Rwanda on Tuesday, May 12, discharged three more patients who recovered from COVID-19 and reported one new case. The results were drawn from 574 samples tested. Out of the 286 confirmed cases so far, 153 patients have recovered with active cases at 133. There are no deaths. The Ministry of Health says that all active cases are in stable condition at designated COVID-19 treatment centres. The virus outbreak prompted the Government to introduce several measures to contain its spread. The Government recently announced a recovery fund to bolster business activity. The Covid-19 disease, which was first reported in Wuhan, China in December last year, has killed at least 291,164 people worldwide with more than four million infections. One and a half million people have recovered globally as of May 12.
