Rayon Sports FC president Sadate Munyakazi has been suspended from any and all football activities for a period of six months, Rwanda football association (Ferwafa) announced on Saturday. The club’s spokesperson, Jean Paul Nkurunziza, was also given a four-match ban. According to a statement from Ferwafa, its disciplinary committee made the decisions on Saturday following a hearing session with the two Rayon Sports officials on Thursday, May 7. Munyakazi is alleged of inciting hatred and violence while he protested Ferwafa’s fines against the Blues when they withdrew from Ubutwari Cup in February, while Nkurunziza is accused of offensive reactions against the local football governing body. On top of their respective bans, Munyakazi was also slapped with a Rwf150,000 fine, while Nkurunziza was fined Rwf50,000 for their alleged misconducts.
