FEATURED: Crystal Ventures Ltd, staff contribute Rwf200m towards COVID-19 fight

Crystal Ventures Ltd (CVL) Group and its staff this Wednesday April29 contributed some Rwf200 million to the Government in support of the national efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic. The contribution came from the Group’s eight subsidiaries and their staff. More than 60 per cent of contribution came from the staff, Iza Irame the Group’s Chief Corporate Officer said. “The pandemic has presented obstacles towards systems, businesses and our communities in being operational,” she said, adding that CVL stands in solidarity with all institutional collaboration to combat the pandemic. Inyange Industries donated 25,000 cartons of juice and milk. The Group’s contribution follows recent separate donations from some of its subsidiaries. Inyange Industries donated 25,000 packs of milk and juice while the Group’s security and logistics subsidiary, ISCO, through its logistics services, donated by offering transport of government food supplies to 10 districts across the country. The Group reiterated its commitment to remaining vigilant in implementing all necessary measures “as we continue to serve the public during these difficult times”. Established in 1995 in Rwanda as Tri-Star Investments Limited, the company rebranded to Crystal Ventures Ltd in 2009. It was founded to meet challenges of economic recovery and localise advantages of growth opportunities in a gone-to-seed environment. CVL’s investments are spread across various sectors of the economy including construction, hospitality, beverages, transport, mining, security and logistics among other areas. Its subsidiaries include Inyange Industries, ISCO (former Intersec), NPD, Real Contractors, East African Granite Industries (EAGI), Ruliba Clays, Bourbon Coffee, Nexus and StoneCraft.
