In the darkest 100 days of Rwanda, We honour the innocent souls we lost, And renew with what we have. Ariko njya nibaza, what if we stood by our oath as Rwandans and refuse to be divided? Maybe, nta muhutu nta mututsi nta numutwa bari kuba mu Rwanda Twese twari kuguma turi Abanyarwanda Tugahorana ubupfura nurukundo kuri bene Kanyarwanda But it all happened, the country that was once united was then divided. Nkongera nkibaza, what if we werent taught of hatred among ethnic groups? I mean, HUTUs and TUTSIs. Wenda bamwe ntibari kwanga abandi Wenda bamwe ntibari kwica abandi Wenda nta wari kwitwa Inyenzi, Inyangarwanda cyangwa Inzoka yumurizo But it all happened. I keep asking myself, what if killing wasnt emphasised in the country? Wenda ubu imiryango imwe ntiyari kuzima Wenda bamwe ntibari kugirwa imfubyi namateka Nticyari kuba igihugu gitemba amaraso, u Rwanda rwari kuguma rutemba amata nubuki But it all happened. I ask myself again, what if INKOTANYI Our great heroes didnt come to rescue? To risk their precious lives for the sake of Rwanda? Maybe, bari gupfa bagashira Or maybe, Rwanda would be no more. But it happened and were grateful today Grateful that our country was great again Millions of smiles in the nation, And many achievements we gain! But my last question is, what if we dont hold on firm to our greatness and make it even greater? Wenda ibyarangiye byazisubiramo But atleast I got an answer to this one. As long as you and I live, it wont happen. Since Rwanda is you and me, And what we want is what is good for us. U Rwanda ruzaba icyo turugize Ruzagumana ubusugire kandi runasagambe. ITS ME AND YOU TO MAKE A MOVE. Ingabire is a 16-year-old Senior Five student at LDK Secondary School.
