Culture musician Ibrahim Cyusa will lead the 'Migabo live Concert’ stage to not only be celebrate his five-year anniversary in Gakondo music but to also use the occasion as a dedication to president Paul Kagame. The concert will take place at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village(KCEV) on Saturday, June 8. Addressing the press, on June 5, the 'Imparamba' crooner said his concert, named after his song 'Migabo,' will be dedicated to president Kagame, especially for the remarkable transformation that Rwanda has achieved over the past three decades under his leadership. I want to express my gratitude to him. He's been exemplary to me, Rwandans and I owe a lot to my country. In addition, we shall be celebrating 30 years of our country's transformation, Cyusa said. Cyusa said he will particularly celebrate the Head of State just before July elections where the RPF-Inkotanyi flag-bearer will be running for another term. He submitted his candidature on May 17. He promised Gakondo music enthusiasts to expect nothing but an eye-catching show serving both young and adults enjoying the rich traditional culture touching nostalgic tracks and contemporary flows alike. He leads a long lineup of other artists who will grace the concert including Gakondo gurus Ruti Joel, Mariya Yohana and up-and-coming musician and producer Chrisy Neat, Inganzo Ngari dance troupe and his group Inkera both of whom nurtured his talent since 2010. Inganzo Ngari and I have something big you should expect. I have prepared myself over the past five months. I'm happy to join my fellow ‘Intore’ at his concert. It's always a pleasure. This is not my first time nor my last. This is a real definition of ‘Ubutore,” said the 'Musomandera' singer. During his five years in music, Cyusa has produced and remixed many traditional songs such as 'Umutoni', 'Rwanda Nkunda,' 'Muhoza wanjye', 'Isengesho' to name a few, making him one of the most popular traditional musicians in Rwanda. His concert follows some of his shows around the world. His most recent concert out of the country took place in Newcastle, United Kingdom on February 24. Tickets for ‘Migabo live Concert’ are on sale via www.ibitaramo.com at Rwf 10,000 for regulars and Rwf 20,000 for VIP seats. A seat on the table goes for Rwf 35,000 while a table of eight is up for Rwf 250,000.
