1/8-finals draws Rayon Vs Mukura APR Vs Kiyovu Gorilla Vs Gicumbi Musanze Vs Muhanga Police Vs Aspor Etincelle Vs Sunrise Rutsiro Vs AS Kigali Marines Vs Vision RAYON Sports have been given a tough draw against the 2018 winners Mukura in the last-16 round of the 2020 Peace Cup. The first-leg will be played on March 14-15, with the decisive encounter on March 17-18. The Blues reached the last-16 after thrashing second division side Intare 6-0 over two legs in the first round, whereas Mukura brushed aside Rwanda Premier League rivals Bugesera 5-3. The two archrivals’ crunch is an early repeat of the 2018 dramatic final when Mukura beat 3-1 on penalties following a goalless draw in normal time and additional 30-minute extra time. Meanwhile, eight-time winners APR will be up against last year’s beaten finalists SC Kiyovu in another highly awaited tie. APR have not won the Peace Cup since 2014, while Kiyovu seek to end their long wait for a major silverware – since 1993. Reacting to his side’s draw on Monday, SC Kiyovu coach Emmanuel Ruremesha said, “This is as big as it gets. There will be a lot at stake for both teams, so fans should brace themselves for a very intriguing tie.” In other fixtures, Etincelles have been drawn against Sunrise, AS Muhanga will play Musanze, Marines are to meet second tier outfit Vision, former winners Police will be up against Aspor, while holders AS Kigali will delight Rutsiro. AS Kigali captured their third Peace Cup title last July after beating SC Kiyovu 2-1 in the final. Peace Cup winners represent Rwanda in the CAF Confederation Cup.
