Wednesday, June 5 APR 89-73 Kepler APR point guard Ntore Habimana contributed 18 points and seven assists and made five rebounds as APR ran away with an 89-73 win over Kepler basketball in their first game of the second round of Rwanda Basketball League on Wednesday night. Zion Styles and Jean Jacques Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza added 17 and 16 points, respectively as the army side put their BAL misery aside to resume their quest for the domestic league. It was APR’s night as four of the club's starters ended with double digits. ALSO READ: APR, Kepler square off in hoops league Star point guard Chad Bowie led the power offense for Kepler, bagging game high 23 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 37 minutes. Bowie had little support from Kepler's roster, with star guard Guibert Nijimbere scoring 14 points on a 14 percent three-point shooting. APR's deep roster lived up to expectations contributing 24 points against Kepler's 10 points from the bench. The local powerhouse also had a staggering 50 points in the paint, thanks in large part to American center Dario Hunt and new boy Osborn Shema. Kepler found the rhythm in the second quarter of the game, only to come short of the same energy in the last two quarters. With the win, APR stands with 19 points at the ranking table. They return to league action on Friday, June 7, when they take on Inspired Generation at Lycee de Kigali gymnasium.
