Renowned Rwandan gospel artiste Israel Mbonyicyambu, aka Mbonyi, has announced his upcoming tour that will see him perform in different parts of the country. The announcement follows the release of his latest track, “Mbwira”, early this month. The tour is expected to start from the University of Rwanda, in Huye on February 2, before staging in other parts of the country. The 27-year-old singer and guitarist has been singing in church since he was a teenager, and has been actively involved in church ministries for the past four years. He is best known for songs like ‘Ku Migezi y’i Babylon, ‘Yankuyeho Urubanza’, Number One’, ‘Ibihe’, and ‘Ndanyuzwe’, among others. Mbonyi’s tour will also feature performances from his fellow gospel artistes including, Bosco Nshuti and Serge Iyamuremye. Early bird tickets for students go for Rwf2,000 and Rwf3,000 at the gate. The rest shall pay Rwf5,000.
