Three third tier teams namely Sina Gerard FC, Motar FC and Umuri FC will be playing in the Rwanda Division 2 for the 2024/25 season. They earned the feat after emerging victorious in the Division 3 playoffs which ended on Thursday, May 30. Umuri FC amassed 6 points in the playoffs, while Motar FC and Sina Gerard FC had 4 points each. This is only the second season of the Rwanda Division 3. The first season saw City Boys and Tsinda Batsinze qualify to Division 2.
