Defender Elisa Mwizerwa has said he is in no hurry to leave Sunrise FC despite their relegation from the Primus National League at the end of the 2023/24 season. The talented right-back was one of the outstanding players in the fold of the Nyagatare-based club during this season as they finished the campaign in 15th position with 32 points. Mwizerwa said that he still has a contract with Sunrise FC and he is in no hurry to force a move elsewhere. I have a running contract with Sunrise FC which expires in June 2025; so there is not much pressure. However, if an offer comes and they show interest in selling me, we will see, he told Times Sport. Mwizerwa, a student at University of Rwanda, was signed by former Sunrise coach Moses Basena during the 2019/2020 season after scouting him in a friendly game. He extended his contract with the club a two-year deal in June 2023.
