Sunday, May 26 Quarterfinals Al Ahly SC vs Al Ahly Ly (2PM CAT) After a two-day action-packed classification round, the eight teams now know who they will face in the last eight stage of the 2024 Basketball Africa League (BAL) playoffs which are underway at BK Arena. The first quarter-final match-up will see Al Ahly SC take on Al Ahly Libya at 2:30pm CAT. Al Ahly are in Kigali to defend the title they won in 2023, but Friday night’s 78-89 loss to Moroccan side FUS de Rabat showed that the Egytians are not in the league of their own. They must come back stronger and prepared to avoid yet another surprising slipup against Al Ahly Ly who are a bit more motivated after beating South Africa’s Cape Town Tigers in the classification round. Three hours later (5:30 pm CAT), FUS de Rabat will go up against Cape Town Tigers.
