SECOND PLACED Police FC head coach Francis Christian Haringingo wants maximum points as his team host Bugesera in a Rwanda Premier League tie at Kigali Stadium on Tuesday afternoon. The law enforcers are two points behind league leaders APR who are in action against Kiyovu on Wednesday in a match that could go either way. Haringingo’s team will be inspired by Dominique Antoine Ndayishimiye who has so far scored six goals including the hat-trick against AS Kigali. With a fully fit squad, Haringingo said, “Our target at the moment is to keep pushing at the top so we need to win this game and maybe others will lose matches. Playing against Bugesera is never easy but I think, we have a chance of winning.” The win will see Police go on top with 18 points, one ahead of APR who will play against SC Kiyovu on Wednesday. “Against Bugesera, it will be a tough match but we want three points, which will give us a chance to go on top again,” added the Burundian tactician, who led Mukura to Peace Cup glory in 2018. Bugesera coach Justin Bisengimana said, “The players know exactly what to do and we must play to our full potential if we are to get anything out of the game. We need to win and stay close to the top.” Bugesera are in eighth position with eight points. Elsewhere, Gasogi United will face Sunrise at Kigali Stadium, AS Muhanga will host Etincelles at Muhanga Stadium while Gicumbi will be up against Musanze at Mumena Stadium. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
