Rayon Sports coach Janvier Martinez Espinosa said, “We have trained well and I hope we get the three points. This is not a crucial stage in the season but it is tricky tie. We can’t afford to take our eyes off the ball against Etincelles.” The Blues are fifth in the league after losing to Sunrise 2-1 on Saturday while Etincelles are in good form after beating Bugesera 2-0 away in Nyamata. Both clubs have 10 points with a similar goal tally and are only separated by alphabetical order. Rayon Sports will be without their main striker Michel Sarpong, who got a red-card against Sunrise while Fabrice Kakule Mugheni will be back in action after a month out injured. In other league matches, Heroes will host second placed Mukura at Bugesera Stadium, Marines face Bugesera at Umuganda Stadium while Gicumbi will be vying for their first win against Espoir at Mumena Stadium. APR top the league table with 13 points, two ahead of second-placed Mukura and third-placed Police. Etincelles and champions Rayon Sports are fourth and fifth, respectively.
