Technology: Opt for the electric shaver

It is common knowledge that every human being removes bodily hair by using a razor or any other kind of bladed implement by slicing it down to the level of the skin. Bodily hair usually removed includes beards, pubic hair and even that on legs. When shaving, there is always need to consider the way you do it. You should always consider your health first. Whether you use an electric shaver or shave with a traditional wet razor is a very personal choice. Traditionally a wet shave will give a closer shave than an Electric Shaver. However, this difference is steadily diminishing as technology advances. Men’s electric shavers have many advantages over using razor blades: fewer cuts in the skin, no ingrown hairs, quicker shaving, and no need for water. They consist of a set of oscillating or rotating blades, which are held behind a perforated metal foil that prevents them from coming into contact with the skin. Bristles of facial hair poke through holes in the foil and are sliced by the moving blades. With some Electric Shavers the blades are a rotating cylinder, in others they are one or more rotating disks, and in others a set of oscillating blades. Each different design of men’s electric shavers has an optimum motion over the skin for the best shave and manufacturers provide guidance on this. Electric shavers are also convenient. They don’t require shaving foam and avoid the risk of cutting yourself. Though rather expensive, shaving hair with electric shavers may save you from ingrown hair which could result in painful razor bumps. Some people like to use a waterproof electric shaver while they shower, this is something that is difficult to achieve with a wet razor unless you take a mirror into the shower with you. However, both methods of shaving may cause razor burn, which is an irritation of the skin. This is caused by using a blunt blade or not using proper technique. It appears as a mild rash 2-4 days after shaving and usually disappears after a few hours to a few days, depending on severity. Always apply aftershave to reduce effects of razor burn. Ends
