The home victory for Moroccan Adil Mohammed Erradi’s team at Kigali Stadium propelled them to the summit with 7 points after three matches this season. Midfielder Olivier ‘Sefu’ Niyonzimana opened the scoring in the first half followed by Usengimana’s sensational brace in the second period – in the 64th and 76th minute, respectively. The army side, however, lead courtesy of a slim superior goal difference (4) after reigning champions and bitter rivals Rayon Sports fought back from a goal down to edge Espoir 2-1 at Kamparampaka Stadium, in Rusizi District. Rayon, who have a three-goal difference, went down in the 20th minute after Espoir forward Fred Kyambadde scored from the spot but quickly responded as centre-back Said Iragire equalised for the visitors in the 32nd minute. Skipper Eric Rutanga netted the winner in the 74th minute. The league action continues Sunday with three matches.
