Friday AS Kigali Vs APR Saturday Gasogi Vs Rayon Bugesera Vs Heroes Etincelles Vs Kiyovu Mukura Vs Espoir Sunday Marines Vs Gicumbi Muhanga Vs Musanze Police Vs Sunrise Gasogi United’s new signing Tidiane Koné has vowed to give a hard time to his former club Rayon Sports when the two sides square off in their league opener on Saturday. The game will get underway 3pm, at Amahoro Stadium. Winners of the 2018-19 second tier title, Gasogi face an uphill task against the reigning champions as they look to make a memorial first impression in the topflight league. Should the Blues suffer a setback on day 1 of the 2019/2020 Rwanda Premier League, it will be the club’s second defeat within four days following their loss to AS Kigali in the Super Cup match on Tuesday. “I have a couple days to recover and adapt with my fellow players so we can go into the game with the same fighting spirit,” Koné, who joined Gasogi on Monday, told Times Sport in an interview on Wednesday. “We will be targeting all the points, and we have enough resources for the job.” “I am here to help my club have a successful first season in the first division league, and what a start it would be if I scored against my former club. The Mali-born frontman hopes to return to his best with the league’s newcomers after struggling in the last two seasons in Zambia Premier League since departing Rayon in January 2018. Koné is one of the four foreign players in Gasogi’s squad for the new camp, along with Manase Mutatu Mbedi (DR Congo), Fabrice Merlin Athassi (Cameroon) and Liberia-born Herron Scarla Berrian. “Our target is simple, to win and if possible win big.” editor@newtimesrwanda.com
