Alyn Sano is not a new name when it comes to the music industry in Rwanda, and she is one of the fastest rising stars on the scene. She is known for a number of songs including, “We the best” on which she collaborates with Yvan Buravan, as well as “Rwiyoborere” and “Painkiller”, among others. Alyn Sano, real name Aline Sano Shengero, just dropped a new song titled, “For us’’, a love song in which she talks about a relationship being between only two people, not for society, friends or marriage …in case it gets there. “A relationship doesn’t survive because of friends, a ring on the finger, or society. It basically stands because the two people in it are willing to make it work out and that is why I chose the title ‘For Us’,” the songstress told The New Times. The song was released on September 18, and the catchy lyrics were written by singer Danny Vumbi. The audio was produced by Made Beats, while Meddy Saleh produced the video. According to Alyn Sano, parts of the scenes of the video were shot in Zindiro, in Kigali. “I want my fans to know that I have a new song coming out. It will be a collabo, but unfortunately, I can’t say more than that. I really thank my fans for supporting me all the way up and they should listen to my new song and share it with the world,” she said. Similarly, one of the biggest names on the Rwandan music scene, Bruce Melody, has released a new track dubbed, “Katerina”, which like many of his songs is a ballad. He said that the song talks about the strong bond of love between people that no one can ever break. Bruce Melody noted his latest single was released September 17. Melody’s audio was done by David Mucyo, popularly known as Made Bea on the Beat, and the video by Julien Iradukunda. The scenes of “Katerina” were shot in Kigali and Paris. The four-minute and 36-second song is in Kinyarwanda and English, and Bruce Melody takes on a slow and calm tone. Asked about any new projects coming up, the “Kungola” hit-maker was confident in agreeing. “I already have three videos that I shot videos for, but it is a surprise for my fans,” he said. He also hinted at the fact that his tour dates will be announced soon. The 29-year-old singer asks his fans for their continued support that made him what he is today. “I love you guys! Keep supporting our music in any way that you can (stream, buy and attend our shows) and I will not disappoint you. Expect nothing but the very best,” he said. editorial@newtimesrwanda.com
