The singer has over the past few months staged a series of performances during his ongoing world tour, which has left many doubting his routine energy on stage, amid fears that he could be fatigued. Diamond however, assured journalists that he is only looking forward to delivering a great performance and ensure he goes beyond the audiences expectations. “I can promise Rwandans to expect nothing but the best from my performance. Since he last came in Rwanda a year ago, Diamonds Music record label, Wasafi, has produced a big number of mega hits, singles and collaborations, which went on to take people from across Africa and beyond by story. Some of the singer’s popular songs include Tetema, Inama, his collaboration with Congolese musician Fally Ipupa and the singers brand new song Kanyaga. Joseph Mushyoma, the CEO of East African Promoters (EAP), earlier on told Saturday Times that the festival’s first edition has been a success with local artistes networking with their fans from across the country while a number of sponsors have shown their commitment in supporting the local music industry through the festival. I can only thank our partners who have been with us over the past two months and this shows me that the future of the festival will be better as long as sponsors keep showing their interest to support it. The better collaborations get the better the festival will become in future editions, “he said. Diamond Platnumz will perform alongside other local artistes like Masamba Intore, Amalon, Sintex, Bruce Melodie, Quee Champions, Safi Madiba, and Francois Nsengiyumva of the Igisupusupu fame, among others. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
