Felicien Muvunyi, a certified public accountant at the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda (ICPAR), has been admitted as a Partner in Ernst & Young Rwanda Limited (EY). Ernst & Young is one of the biggest five global accounting firms. ICPAR, for which he is a founding member, described his admission as a “big milestone towards the development of the accountancy profession in Rwanda”. Muvunyi started his career in the same firm back in 2003 until 2010 where he was an Audit Manager. He then moved to Crystal Ventures Limited (CVL) as Chief Finance Officer (CFO). He also headed various audit assignments in Nigeria, Senegal, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Muvunyi served ICPAR as the Inspection Commission for one year before being elected to the Governing Council serving for 4 years. He who holds a bachelor’s Degree in accounting sciences from the National University of Rwanda and is Certified Public Accountant. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
