Papane Bulwane, one of the celebrated South African gospel artistes, will both perform, and record songs on July 21, in Kigali. Bulwane is arguably one of the most dynamic and prominent praise and worship leaders in South Africa. The 37-year-old belongs to Spirit of Praise, a prominent gospel group led by Bishop Benjamin Dube. His concert dubbed, “Gospel is my Life”, will take place on Sunday at Christian Life Assembly (CLA), in Nyarutarama. This will be Bulwane’s second time to perform in Rwanda. His maiden performance in Kigali last year when he featured as a guest headliner at a concert organised by local artiste Arda Bisabo. Speaking to The New Times,Eddy Runyambo, the vice president of Gisubizo Ministries, the organisers of the concert, said that Bulwane’s return is a fulfillment of a promise he made when he first performed in Kigali in 2018. “He promised to come back and do live recording here in Kigali,” said Runyambo, adding, “He is a good singer. He knows how to praise. We will have a good concert.” Some of his songs include; Nasempini, Yingakho ngicula, Halempotsa, Impilo yamiand Ndohamba,among others The concert will also feature local artistes like Papi Claver and Patient Bizimana, as well as choirs such as, Healing Worship Team, and Gisubizo Ministries. Born in South Africa, Bolwane started singing at the age of seven, before joining Spirit of Praise. Established in 2008, Spirit of Praise serves as a platform to introduce new artistes and to help launch their careers. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
