Rwandan fast rising musician Juno Kizigenza is expected to headline the ‘Miss Cleopatra Goma 2022’ concert that will take place in Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo on November 5. It is the first time that Juno Kizigenza is going to perform in DR Congo and his first outside the country. In an interview with The New Times, Kizigenza said that he is very excited for his debut performance out of Rwandan boundaries. He said, “I am really happy and excited to let my Goma fans know that I’m coming this November for Miss Cleopatra Goma”. “This is going to be my first performance outside Rwanda, and it is the beginning for many more” the Nazubaye hit maker added. The Afrobeat singer said that he is releasing his new single ‘Ihoho’ later this week and confirmed his plan to drop his first album by the end of this year or early next year. “If everything goes as planned I will release my new song ‘Ihoho’ this week,” Kizigenza said. The Mpa Formula singer continued: “What my fans should always expect is good music and as I have shared it via my social media platforms, I’m planning to release my first album at the end of this year or in the beginning of next year.” Juno Kizigenza will share the same stage with DR Congolese artiste Gael Kapia Mawete, popularly known as Gaz Mawete. Mawete is a DR Congolese artist, songwriter and professional dancer. He made a name for himself in the music industry thanks to his song 'Olingi Nini'. He was born on September 30, 1993 in the city of Kinshasa. He is currently producing his music at Bomaye Musik. Miss Cleopatra Goma ceremony will be its fifth this year. This competition is attended by girls who live and grew up in this city. The girl who will be crowned ‘Miss Cleopatra Goma 2022’ will succeed 17-year-old Lysa Ndashimye who won the crown last year. This competition is organised by Glomec (Global Meetings Company), in order to promote the girl child, through beauty, culture and showing that she is capable in society.
