Police FC captain Dominique Savio Nshuti believes his side will come back challenging for the Primus National League title next season. Police FC, who were once title contenders before the end of the first round of the season, finished the campaign in 7th place with 39 points. The club, coach by Vincent Mashami endured a disastrous second round during which they only managed two wins in 15 outings, putting them on the spot despite winning the double of the Peace Cup and Heroes Cup in the process. ALSO READ: PHOTOS: Police FC are 2024 Peace Cup winners Nshuti admits his side didn’t perform well before warning rivals that they won’t come in the 2024/25 season just to participate. “The season was very good for us when you put all tournament together but we must to better next season. I think three cups in the cabinet is good sign that we have given our best to make sure that we please our bosses and our supporters,” Nshuti said. “We are capable of winning the league title but it will require us to be in good shape of mind and exhibit much determination against our opponents next season.” The league title is one of the major trophies missing in Police FC’s trophy cabinet but the former APR forward said that he and his teammates promised their employers to win the league title with a sense of confidence that they can do it just like they did when they lifted the Peace Cup and Heroes Cup. We want to keep building on the foundation of being a team that, hopefully in 12 months' time, people will be talking about us differently. We have promised that next season we will come back strong than this season, he noted Police will for the first time in a decade represent Rwanda in 2024-25 CAF Confederation Cup. The last time the team competed in African club football competition was during the 2015/2016 season after winning the Peace Cup in 2015.
