The National women basketball team coach Moise Mutakambali, is optimistic his team will put on a good showing at the Zone V basketball, which will be held from June 25-30 in Uganda. The competition will serve as the 2019 AfroBasket Women qualification, which will be hosted by Senegal from August 9-18. Mutokambali told Times Sports that the team starts residential camp on Monday after weeks of non-residential camp training. “We have been training well and I believe my players will do well because we have a young squad that can make the difference against any team,” Mutokambali said Twelve countries are expected to take part in the tournament. They are; Burundi, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and hosts Uganda. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
