South African music duo Mafizikolo will be performing in Rwanda again, today, May 16, alongside Kenya-based Burundian singer Kidum. The musicians are expected to perform at the Transform Africa Summit 2019 concert scheduled for this evening. The two-day meeting, which opened on May 15, under the theme: “Boosting Africa’s Digital Economy”, will also feature several other activities, including a golf tournament, among other recreational events. Kidum. The duo of Theo Kgosinkwe and Nhlanhla Nciza, who together form Mafikizolo, last performed in Rwanda in September last year, at the Kwita Izina Gala dinner in Rubavu District, while Kidum, real name, Jean-Pierre Nimbona, also regularly performs in the country. Apart from Mafikizolo and Kidum, several other artistes, including Charly na Nina, Hope Irakoze, Mani Martin and Bruce Melodie are expected to perform at the Transform Africa Summit 2019 concert at Kigali Convention Centre. The artistes will perform for delegates only though, unlike previous events, where people had to pay to attend. A poster seen by The New Times says that the artistes will be performing “Transformational tunes for Africa”. The summit brings together heads of state, ministers, heads of institutions, CEOs, top business minds, as well as the youth in ICT and digital innovation sector.
