Postponed Matches Day 6 Sunday Inyemera 1-1 Kamonyi Scandinavia 7-0 ES Mutunda AS Kigali 6-0 Bugesera WOMEN LEAGUE TABLE LEADERS Scandinavia coach Radjab Bizumuremyi has said the club is aiming at nothing short of the 2019 league title. Bizumuremyi laid out their ambitions Sunday after humiliating ES Mutunda WFC 7-0 at Umuganda Stadium. “We want Scandinavia to be a strong and successful team not only in Rwanda but even in Africa. We want to be regulars in African club competitions when they are there,” Bizumuremyi said. The former Etincelles coach added that strong administrative structures and a well-managed team will help Scandinavia FC to be a powerhouse. “We want to be a winning team. We want to enforce our way of playing, build confidence and trust in our fans, strengthen club structures, and deliver on our vision,” he added. Two weeks ago, Scandinavia WFC thrashed reigning champions AS Kigali WFC 3-0 in a match day nine of the 2019 Rwanda Women’s Football League to go top of the table standings. Scandinavia, who are competing in the women’s league for the second year now, were seeking revenge against AS Kigali who defeated them last season on the final match of the season to lift their 10th consecutive league title. Scandinavia have 27 points from 9 matches, while AS Kigali are in second spot with 24 points, Rambura third with 17 points, and ES Mutunda fourth with 16. Gakenke lie at the bottom with only one point. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
