Sunday AS Muhanga Vs Rayon15:30 Mukura VsPolice 15:30 Etincelles VsAmagaju15:30 Rayon Sports will be out to reduce the gap between them and leaders APR back to three points when they face AS Muhanga in a tricky fixture at Muhanga Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The game starts at 3:30pm. Leaders and defending champions APR beat Bugesera 3-0 at Kigali Stadium on Saturday to lift their tally to 57 points after 24 matches, and extend their lead over second-placed Rayon to six points. In-form Ghanaian striker Micheal Sarpong, who scored the lone goal that sank APR last week, leads the Blues’ onslaught against AS Muhanga. The latter earned promotion back to Azam Rwanda Premier League last year. Amavubi centre-back and Rayon Sports skipper Thierry Manzi has cautioned his teammates that they should not get ahead of themselves, but rather ‘focus on one game at a time’ in their remaining seven league matches this term. “There is no room for mistakes for us, so every game is basically a decider. We should remain grounded and aim at winning all our remaining games, focusing on one at a time,” noted the former Isonga FC defender. In a separate interview, AS Muhanga coach Abdu Mbarushimana said that his side will also give it a strong fight to keep the three points at home. Rayon beat AS Muhanga 1-0 in the first-leg at Kigali Stadium last December. editor@newtimesrwanda.com
