We are very fine and we are focused on avoiding overdoing anything, which may lead to injuries but we are learning the routes,” said Byukusenge. “They have been doing well in training, and I hope they will be able to reproduce that kind of form in the competition. I am optimistic about our chances to do well because we have prepared very well,” the former Team Rwanda captain added. In 2023, Mwamikazi struck gold in the 2023 women’s CAC MTB African Championships in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Ndabaga Cycling team rider most recently won the 2024 Race to Remember that took place in Kigali and some parts of Bugesera in April.
