President Paul Kagame on Tuesday interacted with residents of Nyamagabe District, Southern Province as part of his Citizen Outreach programme. The President, accompanied by senior government officials will also hear from citizens in surrounding districts. This is the second day of the Presidents tour of Southern Province. President Kagame arrives in Nyamagabe District where to meet with over 20,000 residents of Nyamagabe, Nyaruguru, and Huye Districts of the Southern Province. In his engagement with them, he challenged them to have the right mindset in tackling societal challenges such as poverty and infrastructure deficit among others. Mindset change, he said, should also be evident through the adoption of ways and approaches to solutions. He reminded leaders that when addressing poverty, it should not be seen as a favour to citizens but a collective initiative for the wellbeing of all.
