AZAM RWANDA Premier League side Kirehe FC have fired their head coach François Kalisa after 10 months in the job. Club president Christopher Munyangeri confirmed to Times Sport on Wednesday that Kalisa had been relieved of his duties with immediate effect and the search for his replacement had started in earnest. “I can confirm that he is no longer Kirehe FC coach,” he said, adding that Kalisa had not fulfilled the conditions in his contract. “We have decided to let him leave after a series of poor results,” Munyangeri said. “We will look for a replacement but, in the meantime, the assistant coach (Peacemaker Habimana) will be in charge of the team,” he added. Kirehe are in 15th place with just 12 points in the league. Kalisa joined the Nyakarambi-based side in April 2018 as head coach, replacing Abdoul Karim Nduhirabandi. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
