Former Rayon Sports forward Kevin Muhire, who joined Egyptian Premier League side Misr Lel-Makkasa SC last month, has been loaned to league rivals El Dakhleya Sporting Club for the remainder of the 2018/2019 season. Speaking toTimes Sport in a telephone interview from Egypt on Sunday, Muhire explained that his loan move to El Dakhleya was due to the fact that his club, Misr Lel-Makkasa, signed him when they had already hit the maximum number (4) of foreign players. “A team can’t exceed four foreign players in Egypt, what’s why I was loaned to El Dakhleya. I look forward to helping the club untill end of the season,” he said. Rwanda international Muhire, who left Rayon Sports for trials with Misr Lel-Makkasa last November, had joined the Blues in 2015 – at the age of 17 – and helped the club to win the 2016 Peace Cup as well as the 2016/2017 Azam Rwanda Premier League title. He was also instrumental in Roberto Oliviera’s team that defied the odds to reach the last eight in CAF Confederation Cup last season. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
