Forward Mudasiri Twagiramungu scored the opening goal in the 12th minute, Prince Longa Longa netted the second in the 27th minute, while left-back Martin Niyomugabo also got on the scoring sheet with a strike in the 71st minute. Relegated from the Azam Rwanda Premier League in 2017, Pepiniere effectively moved into second place with 15 points while Intare are in third place with 14 points. Hope, who are the leaders of Group B thanks to a better goal difference, beat United Stars 3-0. Following their win, Pepinierre coach Richard Kalimba said they are focused on returning to the country’s topflight football league next season. “We’re happy to win this game and now we have to switch our focus to the next fixtures,” he said.
