Rwanda women football league champions AS Kigali have signed the pair of Anne Marie Ibangarye and Gloria Sifa Nibagwire ahead of next season, which starts February 10. Rwanda internationals Anne Marie Ibangarye (a striker) and Gloria Sifa Nibagwire (a midfielder), both formerly of Scandinavia FC, rejoined the City of Kigali-backed side signing two-year deals. Ibangarye return to a club she used to play for (between 2008 and 2016) before she moved to Uganda’s Olila Uganga in 2017. She joined Scandinavia in 2018. Like Ibangarye, Nibagwire, the captain of She-Amavubi, is also returning to her former club after a stint with Scandanavia. “I’m happy to be back to my team, for me its home because this is where I spent so the majority of my years as a player,” Ibangarye said.
