APR left-back Jean Claude Iranzi and forward Muhadjiri Hakizimana have been suspended by the club, allegedly for indiscipline cases, and will not be part of the squad that takes on Mukura Victory Sports at Kigali Stadium on Thursday. The much anticipated clash will get underway at 3:30pm. It is reported that Iranzi and Hakizimana spent the night before the league clash against Gicumbi, last Friday, drinking in one night club in Kigali. Both players were replaced at half-time as APR were held to a goalless draw – their second draw in the 2018-19 Azam Rwanda Premier League season. Head coach Jimmy Mulisa was not happy with the two players’ performance and have since been left out of the first team’s training camp. Ahead of the clash against second-placed Mukura, APR top the table with 26 points, four ahead of Francis Haringingo’s side and third-placed Rayon Sports. Injury-hit striker Ernest Sugira is likely to start on the bench. The 27-year old has not played an official match since rejoining APR from DR Congos AS Vita Club in August 2017. “I am not going to be a policeman to run after players. If some can’t behave like professional footballers, I will work with those who can,” said Mulisa. This is not the first time that the two vastly experienced players have been accused of misconduct. Full squad to face Mukura Goalkeepers: Yves Kimenyi and Fiacre Ntwari. Defenders: Albert Ngabo, Prince Buregeya, Emmanuel Imanishimwe, Michel Rusheshangoga, Herve Rugwiro, Fitina Ombolenga and Shaffy Songayingabo. Forwards: Fiston Nkinzingabo, Maxime Sekamana and Dominique Savio Nshuti, Lague Byiringiro, Blaise Itangishaka, Issa Bigirimana and Ernest Sugira. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
