APR head coach Jimmy Mulisa has once again hailed his players as the league leaders went on to thrash 3-0 ten-man of AS Kigali during Sunday’s encounter which he said only helped the military side sustain their unbeaten. All goals came in the second half with the first being netted just a minute after break through a wonderful cross from Emmanuel Imanishimwe that saw Lague Byiringiro hit the back of the net. On-form Imanishimwe made another assist through Fitina Ombolenga who scored the second goal on the 71st minute while ten minutes later, Moustapha Nsengiyumva slid ball to Byiringiro to seal his brace. This is his fifth goal of the season. “We have a football situation of working hard and looking for more goals and I also believe that we can keep winning more games,” Mulisa said. “It was a good start for the team as the defending champions and we have to manage well every single game ahead of us and remain on track,” Mulisa added. Meanwhile, two minutes to the end of the first half, AS Kigali were dropped to ten men after Jimmy Kibengo Mashengelwa received a straight red card after kicking APR defender, Herve Rugwiro. Under former Amavubi international Mulisa the military side have maintained their place at the summit of the table with 25 points. The black and white outfit have collected the 25 points from eight games; eight wins and one draw against Bugesera. Meanwhile, SC Kiyovu dropped another two points, after playing 3-3 draw against AS Muhanga. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
