Saturday Musanze Vs Marines 15:30 Rayon Vs AS Muhanga15:30 Sunrise Vs Espoir 15:30 Amagaju Vs Etincelles 15:30 Thursday AS Kigali 3-0 Bugesera Djuma Masudi Irambona has said that he feels relieved after recording his first victory as AS Kigali head coach following their comfortable 3-0 win over Bugesera. AS Kigali thumped Innocent Seninga’s side to get their first win in the 2018/2019 Azam Rwanda Premier League season at Kigali Stadium on Thursday. It was relief for the City of Kigali-sponsored side as they ended the unwanted record of being their only big team without a win in the opening eight matches. Centre-back Omar Ngando, Jimmy Kibengo Mashengegwa and Farouk Saifi Sentongo were on target with one goal each to give the Burundian tactician his first three points since joining the 2013 Peace Cup winners in October. The win took some pressure off Masudi’s shoulders. Prior to Bugesera match, he had managed just four points from a possible 24. “We are delighted to get our first win of the season, it’s such a huge relief. I am thankful to the players, and the fans for their hard work and support,” said Masudi. AS Kigali were second from the bottom but Thursday’s victory moved them three places into 13th position, above Gicumbi, Etincelles and Amagaju. “There are many battles to be fought, our aim is to stay put and focus on one game at a time.” AS Kigali return to action on Sunday against SC Kiyovu at Mumena Stadium. The league continues on Saturday with Musanze playing Marines, Rayon Sports up against AS Muhanga, Sunrise against Espoir, while Amagaju take on Etincelles. editorial@newtimes.co.rw
